It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a year since I became a part of EXPA. Over the past 12 months, I have had the privilege of conducting more than 16 camps, traveling across the length and breadth of our country including four of the seven beautiful Northeastern states: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Mizoram, and Meghalaya.
People often ask me why I travel so much and what keeps me motivated to do these camps. The answer takes me back to my own days as a cadet- days filled with questions, curiosity, and a hunger for direction. I remember how much I longed for guidance, for someone to help me develop the skills I needed to become employable and confident. That memory fuels my purpose today: to enable and empower cadets with the skills they need to succeed.
I joined EXPA with the vision of giving back. But what I didn’t expect was how much I would gain in return. From my very first camp at CATC Nirjuli in Itanagar to my most recent experience at CATC Shillong, I have grown not just professionally, but personally. The passionate and dedicated individuals I’ve worked with along the way have helped me evolve from being an introvert into an ambivert, someone more open, expressive, and confident.
This journey has also brought moments of recognition I’ll always cherish. I was deeply honoured to be nominated as the Busiest Trainer and the Most Promising Newbie awards that remind me of the trust and responsibility this community has placed in me.
To everyone reading this, I come from CTOP-8, and it’s both exciting and surreal to now welcome CTOP-9 and eager to train with you. The journey continues, and so does the mission.
Here’s to many more camps, conversations, and cadets empowered.
Jai Hind!
