From Cadet to Trainer: Embracing the NCC Legacy

In 2012, I proudly donned the Air Wing NCC uniform as a member of 1 Kar Air Sqn, NCC, marking the start of an exciting chapter in my life. The following year, I had the exhilarating experience of flying a sortie in a Zenair Microlight Aircraft and firing a .22 rifle during a camp as a JD Cadet. This momentous experience ignited my passion, leading me to continue my journey as an SD cadet in the same unit.

In 2015, I had the privilege of representing the Karnataka and Goa Directorate at AIVSC-2015, a significant milestone in my NCC journey. While pursuing my engineering studies with determination, I secured a position in an MNC in 2019.

In 2016, I first learned about the NCC EXPA and the CADET program, though I couldn’t participate at that time due to various reasons. However, in 2024, I rediscovered the CADET program through my NCC Air Wing seniors. My desire to contribute to the organization that shaped my character led me to pursue becoming a trainer, with the aim of positively impacting today’s youth and helping them navigate the challenges of the modern world.

After completing CTOP-8, I prepared diligently to give my best. To date, I have successfully completed two camps, and I feel immense happiness in connecting with the youth and making a meaningful contribution to shaping the future of cadets. These experiences have also broadened my horizons, especially my first exposure to various cultures and my travels to the Northeast, which I consider a privilege.

I extend my heartfelt thanks to the Board for their unwavering support. It is an honor to be associated with NCC EXPA—a rare opportunity to reconnect with my roots. I eagerly anticipate participating in many more camps this year with the same enthusiasm and dedication. I am deeply grateful to the NCC EXPA family for their invaluable assistance in my journey to become a trainer. It fills me with great pride to know that I am making a positive impact and helping shape the lives of cadets.
